To balance out my obsession with business, I have studied music production since 1986.

Years ago, I spent my free time in and out of various bands, including San Francisco based Legato. However, no music experience I have ever been involved in has ever provided me the rewards that writing, recording, and mixing music in my own home studio does. For a sampling of my work, pick a style, and click on the play button..

Saturday (contemporary rock) - 02:46 - The producer of Legato, Roland Apikelis, assisted with the bass line and strings on this track. I composed and performed the acoustic guitar arrangement, and worked out the beats, orchestration, etc...

Pigs In Space (hip hop) - 04:49 - For some reason, I get a lot of compliments on this particular hip hop track. It features samples of me playing my 1969 Guild Starfire hollow-body guitar.

Cultivation (drum & bass) - 05:08 - This track is on FIRE! For reason, this is the only drum 'n bass track I've ever composed... and it took me months to work this piece out of my head. Drum 'n Bass is a very meticulous style of composition, paricularly the drum programming aspect. I believe this song is my masterpiece.

Hypnosis (downtempo) - 09:41 - Starting off with a chant that peace activists were doing in the streets of San Francisco at the outset of the Iraq War, this song will take you in for nearly 10 minutes. The music builds through-out the song, and has an epic feel to it. I recommend lighting a candle and listening to your heart.

New Love (electronica) - 04:11 - This track starts off with a recording of the New York Bucket players, who I sampled on the streets one day playing buckets with their hands, and includes a women playing a beautiful middle eastern instrument.

More tracks, mostly from the project MUTED intelligence, are located here.
